San Stae Church

Important arts are inside the church, starting from the Roccocò statues of the façade to the Tiepolo’s oil painting, one of the most important artist of the XVIII century.
It is composed by one big nave wit 3 different little chapels per side (one of those was decorated by Balestra during the XVII sec) and hosts the family tomb of Mocenigo’s, a really important surmname for the Venetians (7 Doges came from this family).
Nowadays the church also hosts some exhibitions like the Swiss Pavillion of the Biennale until November 22nd 2009.
